Hi, I’m Olivier Roubieu — a multidisciplinary artist and trained carpenter with a unique approach that bridges fine art and functional design. I studied fine art in France, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling, composition, and creative technique. Later, I trained in carpentry in the UK, gaining hands-on experience in building, joinery, and working with natural materials.
Rather than limiting myself to one discipline, I’ve built a career that combines both passions. My work spans a wide range: I create bespoke furniture, lay floors, build wardrobes, and design custom outdoor structures like decks and sheds. At the same time, I continue to produce original artwork, often exploring themes of structure, balance, and the interaction between man-made and organic forms.
Some projects lean purely toward art, others toward function — and many live at the intersection of both. I believe there’s real value in bringing artistry to construction and craftsmanship to creative work.
You can explore some of my art on my website, and if you're interested in a commission — whether it's a mural, a piece of furniture, or a fully customized outdoor space — I’d love to hear from you.
